Debit Rewards Program Terms
Effective as of April 22, 2024
The Debit Rewards Program (the “Program”) provides promotional offers to One customers on the Debit Rewards page of the One App (each a “Debit Reward”). Debit Rewards may allow One customers to (i) earn cash back, provided in the form of deposits to the Savings of their One Deposit Account (“Cash Rewards”) or (ii) to participate in limited time, limited availability offers to purchase goods directly from One (“Limited Time Offers”). Each Debit Reward is subject to these Debit Rewards Program Terms (“Terms”) and the applicable Debit Reward terms. Any capitalized term used in these Terms, but not otherwise defined shall have the meaning given to it in the One Deposit Account Agreement. By accessing or otherwise using the services made available by ONE Finance, Inc. (“ONE” or “We”) you agree to be bound by these Terms, the ONE Terms of Service and the Deposit Account Agreement. Not all customers will have the same Debit Rewards available to them and One does not guarantee or represent that customers will always have Debit Rewards available.
1. Automatic Rewards
“Automatic Rewards” are found on the Debit Rewards page under the section titled ‘Automatic rewards’. Debit Rewards are earned through an Automatic Offer when a qualifying purchase (pursuant to the applicable Debit Reward terms) (i) is made with a One debit card directly with a merchant identified in an Automatic Rewards and (ii) settles before the Debit Reward’s expiration date. There is no enrollment or activation for Automatic Rewards and there is no limitation to the number of Automatic Rewards you may participate in.
2. One-tap Rewards
“One-tap Rewards” are found on the Debit Rewards page under the section titled ‘One-tap rewards’. Cash Rewards are earned through a One-tap Rewards when a qualifying purchase (pursuant to the applicable Debit Reward terms) is made with a One Debit Card directly with the merchant identified in an One-tap Reward and while the applicable One-tap Reward is activated. Only one One-tap Reward may be active at a time.
3. Gas Rewards
“Gas Rewards” are found on the Debit Rewards page under the section titled ‘Gas rewards’. Gas Rewards are earned when a qualifying purchase (pursuant to the applicable Debit Rewards terms) is made with a One Debit Card directly at the gas station identified in a Gas Reward and while the applicable Gas Reward is activated. Gas Rewards are provided by Upside Services, Inc. (“Upside”) and use of this reward is subject to the Upside Terms of Service and Upside Privacy Policy.
4. Limited Time Rewards
Limited Time Reward may be made available in the One-tap Rewards Section of the Debit Rewards Page. To participate in a Limited Time Reward, a One customer must (i) claim it and then (ii) complete the steps for purchasing, as applicable, and as set forth in the Limited Time Reward. The products, services and incentives made available through a Limited Times Offer will be provided on a first come first serve basis until supply runs out or the Limited Time Reward expires, whichever occurs first.
Purchases made through a Limited Time Reward can only be in the form of a debit taken from a One customer’s Debit balance. By completing the purchasing process you agree that One may debit the purchase price from your One Debit. In the event that you do not have a sufficient balance in your One Debit, you will not be able to make a purchase through a Limited Time Offer.
Any product made available through a Limited Time Reward is limited to one (1) per customer. Products purchased through a Limited Time Reward may not be returned or exchanged and One makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, relating to any products made available through a Limited Time Reward.
5. Program Participation
The Program is only available to One customers who have a One Deposit Account and a One Debit Card (virtual or physical card). Transactions that debit a Savings Pocket will not be eligible for Debit Rewards. Debit Rewards may be earned on purchases made within the United States only. If you purchase a One Retail Card at a Walmart store, you must complete the account opening process described in the One Deposit Account Agreement in order to open your One Deposit Account and participate in the Program. If you have a Limited-use product you are not eligible to participate in the Program.
If you dispute, return, or charge back a purchase that had resulted in the receipt of Cash Rewards, We reserve the right to recover the Cash Rewards that were given in connection with that purchase. We will recover deposited funds from the Saving Pocket in which we initially placed it, but if you have insufficient funds in that Pocket to cover the recovery, then we may seek to recover those funds from your other Pockets.
If a Debit Reward applies to a particular category of goods (e.g. gas or groceries), whether a purchase falls within that category will be based on the Mastercard merchant category code (“MCC”) for the merchant who processed the transaction. One does not determine or control a merchant’s MCC. Notwithstanding the foregoing, transactions for cash substitutes (e.g. gift cards) or other financial instruments or services are not eligible for Cash Rewards. Additionally, if a Debit Reward has any balance requirements, your Account balance must meet the stated requirements at the time an eligible purchase settles to earn Cash Rewards on that purchase.
6. Cash Reward Receipt
Any Cash Reward earned through the Program will be deposited into your Savings Pocket within fifteen business days of the settlement of a qualifying purchase. If a Debit Reward made available through the Program is only applicable to a single purchase (e.g. “earn X% cash back on your first purchase”) and your purchase is processed in separate transactions, you may only earn a Cash Reward on the first transaction processed by the merchant. You may not receive Cash Rewards for a particular purchase if we receive inaccurate information or otherwise are unable to confirm that your purchase qualifies for a Debit Reward.
7. Additional Terms
Debit Rewards made available through the Program cannot be combined with other promotions made available by One. To the extent a One customer’s purchase meets the eligibility criteria for a Debit Reward made available through the Program and another available promotion, One will determine, in its sole discretion, whether the Debit Reward or the other available promotion will be applied.
The Program and any Debit Rewards made available through the Program may be modified or canceled at any time, with or without notice to you. One reserves the right to revoke or modify the Program at any time, with or without notice to you. If it is determined that you have engaged in or plan to engage in abuse or gaming in connection with the Program, you will be prohibited from further participation in the Program, forfeit any Cash Rewards that you have earned but have not yet been distributed to you and One reserves the right to recover any Cash Rewards that you have already received.
One may issue you an IRS Form 1099-MISC, or other appropriate forms reporting the value of the Cash Rewards earned through the Program.
